Intentional Community
Davis, CA
This 34-resident intentional community was designed to fit neatly behind a large 1930's house on an .8-acre site across the street from the University of California, Davis. Six attached houses are grouped around a courtyard. Resident activity is focused in this central open space, secluded from surrounding properties. A smaller courtyard links the new housing with the existing house, which will be renovated to serve as a space for community meetings and offices.
